This notice explains how Oak & Ivy Montessori ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, transparently and only for the purposes set out below, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Oak & Ivy Montessori is a Montessori-inspired nursery preparing to open in Goffs Oak or Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. The data controller for information collected on this site is Oak & Ivy Montessori.

What we collect, and why

When you complete the registration-of-interest form on this site, we collect the information you provide so we can keep you informed about the nursery's opening and arrange a personal welcome for your family.

Required fields:

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Site preference (Goffs Oak or Potters Bar)
• Your consent for us to contact you

Optional fields you may choose to share:

• Phone number
• Your child's age range
• Desired start month
• Session preference (full-time, part-time, not sure)
• Interest in extended hours (7:30am–6:00pm)
• Current childcare frustrations

When you submit the form, our server also automatically logs the submission date, time, and the IP address used — this helps us detect abuse and is kept only for that purpose.

Our lawful basis for processing

We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), which you give by ticking the consent box when submitting the registration form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@oakandivymontessori.com.

How long we keep your information

We will keep your information until twelve (12) months after the nursery opens, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is sooner. If you withdraw consent, we will delete your record within thirty (30) days.

Who has access to your information

Your information is held only by Oak & Ivy Montessori. We do not sell, rent or share your data with marketing companies or third parties.

The technical infrastructure we use to host this site and receive your registrations is provided by IONOS Cloud Ltd (United Kingdom). IONOS acts as a data processor on our behalf and stores data within the UK.

This site uses the Google Fonts service to load the typefaces used in our design. When you load a page, your browser makes a request to Google's servers (which may be outside the UK) to fetch the font files. We do not pass any personal information to Google, but your IP address is visible to Google as part of this request — this is standard for any site using web fonts.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No consent banner is shown because no consent is required.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to restrict or object to our use of your information
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have mishandled your data

Children's data

The information about your child collected on this form (such as age range) is supplied by you as the parent or guardian. We treat it with the same care as any other personal data and only use it to plan our rooms and tailor our communication with you.

If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and, where appropriate, contact you to let you know.
